TOOL MAKING

  • Tool & Stamping Center

The Tool & Stamping Center is equipped with a variety of state-of-the-art machines and benefits from many years of experience in the construction of sophisticated tool concepts. Even the smallest quantities for pre-series, prototypes and series production with large quantities can be produced economically.

  • Prototype construction

Diehl Metal Applications manufactures customer-specific prototypes in order to be able to provide supportive advice with regard to series production. The prototypes correspond to the later series parts and are produced in-house and close to series production. All relevant production steps and the technologies used are effectively coordinated in order to meet the customer's individual requirements.

In the test laboratory, the prototype can be tested, analyzed and optimized on the basis of the promptly determined key figures.

  • In-house toolmaking

Thanks to our in-house toolmaking department, we carry out all steps, from CAD design to the finished tool, in-house. This enables us to implement new tool designs and modifications very quickly and ensure the highest level of quality:

    • Die-sinking & wire-cutting machines
    • CNC milling & drilling centers
    • HSC milling machines
    • Automatic grinding machines, flat & profile grinding machines
    • Coordinate grinding machines
    • 3D-Tool Measuring Equipment

PRODUCT AND PROCESS DEVELOPMENT

  • Research & Development

In stamping technology, precision, production reliability and production speed can only be achieved through optimum interaction between product development and toolmaking. Short development times and a high investment dynamic help our customers and partners to obtain functional samples (prototypes) and small series in a short time.

  • Quality assurance & process control

Our 100% inline image processing enables high-precision measurements of all stamped parts at all locations - quality is always our focus.

    We also rely on:

    • Acoustic tool monitoring (Sonic Tool Protection)
    • Electronic tool monitoring
    • Camera-supported 100% inline inspection
    • Process FMEA
    • Control plans
    • Production self-monitoring

    Your advantages:

    • High product quality
    • Maximum delivery reliability
    • Flexible series sizes (small to large)
    • Wide range of delivery forms: Continuous belt, bulk material, tape & reel, trays
