Plating of Wide and Thick Materials

We have expanded our capacity with a new reel-to-reel coating system. This system is specifically designed for the electroplating of thicker and wider strip materials and addresses the growing demands in the field of electrification as well as other industrial sectors. This not only expands our technological portfolio but also creates clear advantages: particularly when compared directly to conventional rack electroplating, this innovative reel-to-reel process enables significant cost savings.

Coating technologies

Diehl Metal Applications (DMA) offers a comprehensive range of electroplating surface finishes for strips and individual parts - from standard processes to highly selective techniques and specialized coatings. Our technologies combine functionality, precision and resource efficiency and meet the highest requirements in electronics, automotive, medical technology and mechanical engineering.

We offer:

  • Standard processes: economical and reliable solutions for solid strips and pre-punched material
  • Highly selective processes: precise precious metal coatings, internal gold plating of contact springs, spot technology, etc.
  • Special processes: lead-free solutions for press-fit zones, palladium-containing gold alternatives, bondable surfaces, aluminum strip plating (ASP), etc.
  • Individual part plating: fully automated barrel plating, prototype and small series production
     

We use these processes to create tailor-made surfaces that perfectly combine corrosion protection, conductivity, solderability and wear resistance.
