Diehl Defence, a leading system house for guided missiles and ground-based air defence, will showcase its expertise in the field of drone defence (C-UAV) to the specialist visitors for the first time at XPONENTIAL in Düsseldorf from March 24 to 26. XPONENTIAL is a leading European trade fair for autonomous technologies and robotics, which has greatly expanded its military component this year.

The company will exhibit the highly mobile and combat-enhanced drone defence system GARMR, which was presented for the first time at Enforce Tac in Nürnberg in February. Diehl Defence will also showcase the CICADA effector, as part of the Sky Sphere system, that is also used for drone defence.

In addition to exhibits on drone defence, the Diehl Defence booth will also feature the "Unmanned Ground Vehicle" (UGV) Ziesel with the PLATON Autonomy Kit and the loitering ammunition called LIBELLE, the next generation of weapons for the engagement of armored vehicles. Furthermore, a model of the launcher of the IRIS-T SLM ground-based air defence system will be on display.

A conference program entitled "German Drone-Defence & Innovation Forum" will be held in the exhibition hall on March 24 and 25, with the German Bundeswehr as a strategic partner and supported by Diehl Defence. In the course of the program, Michael Sporer, Senior Vice President Protection Systems at Diehl Defence, will explain the C-UAV competences of Diehl Defence with a speech and panel participation; furthermore, he will also answer questions from the expert audience. In addition to technical requirements, the focus of his presentation will be on the approval and testing challenges of drone defence systems.
