What data do we process?

We process the following data about you:

  • email address,
  • search terms you have defined,
  • additional settings you have selected regarding country/location, entry level, 
    frequency, duration

What do we do with the data?

We process your data (email address and selected notification settings) solely to send you our job alerts according to your preferences. Your data will not be shared with third parties.

Tracking, Statistics, and Performance Metrics

We use the web analytics service Matomo and the Pardot tool from Salesforce Inc. to continuously improve and optimize our services. By signing up for our job alerts, you agree that we may track your preferences for receiving alerts (search term, country/location, entry-level position, frequency, duration) and your interactions (opens, clicks) and analyze this data for statistical purposes.

Why are we permitted to process your data?

The legal basis for data processing related to newsletter distribution and tracking is informed consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) of the GDPR.

Obligation to provide data

Providing your email address is required to subscribe to the job alert and for its distribution. Without this information, the newsletter cannot be sent. There is no legal or contractual obligation to subscribe.

Unsubscribing from the newsletter

You may unsubscribe from the job alert at any time, free of charge, and without providing a reason, thereby revoking your consent at any time with future effect. To do so, there is an unsubscribe link at the end of each of our newsletters. If you unsubscribe from the newsletter, all your data will be deleted.

How long do we store your data?

We delete your data as soon as it is no longer required for the purposes mentioned above. This is usually the case 1 day after the end date you selected has passed. Your data will not be stored beyond that time.

Who receives my data?

We ensure that only those departments and individuals who need your data to fulfill their obligations under their employment contracts receive it.

In many cases, service providers assist our departments in carrying out their tasks. We carefully select these service providers and contractually require them to comply with data protection regulations.

Is my data transferred to third countries?

We do not transfer any data to third countries.

Do we make automated decisions on a case-by-case basis?

We do not use automated processing to make decisions.
